BP Justice Now! is a non-profit, non-partisan project that seeks justice for victims of the 2010 Deepwater Horizon oil rig explosion and its aftermath, and full accountability for the companies that caused the disaster. This includes the responsibility to pay for the full cost of damage this incident has inflicted on communities, businesses and individuals.  It is a project of the Center for Justice & Democracy.

The Deepwater Horizon explosion is the nation’s worst environmental disaster.  The explosion itself caused the deaths of 11 workers and injuries for many more. The resulting oil spill and clean up attempts have caused profound ecological damage, untold human health problems and hundreds of billions of dollars in economic losses for the region. Hundreds of thousands of individuals and small businesses have been harmed.

Go to our FAQ to find out more about the Deepwater Horizon explosion; BP's culture of corruption in the United States and around the world; and what to do if you live in the Gulf (filing a claim).
